-They are three of Julian's numerous dove companions.  (Julian does have at least a dozen doves, after all Julian believes that a magician requires many doves.)

-All of this doves, these three included, assist Julian in his magic performances.  They know a number of tricks and sometimes just help out with making things look more elegant.

-Julian raised Arc and Joyce from the time they were little.

-Julian found Minka when she was sick and nursed her back to health.

-Arc is a bit vain about his appearance.  He's managed to style his feathers into a look that hides one of his eyes (Much like Julian does with his hair.  They do say pets resemble their owners)

-Arc seems to be trying to attract Joyce's attention.  Joyce doesn't seem to notice that much.

-Joyce is the most calm of the birds.

-Minka is rather affectionate and enjoys attention.

-Julian cares a lot about his doves.

-Their diet consists of mostly seeds.
